Tesla Recalls ALL Cybertrucks

Tesla has initiated a recall for all Cybertruck units that have been delivered to customers because of an issue causing the accelerator pedal to become stuck.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reported on Wednesday that the defect may cause the pedal pad to come loose and get caught in the vehicle’s interior trim when “high force is applied.”
The issue originated from an “unapproved modification” that involved the use of “lubricant (soap)” during the assembly of the accelerator pedals, which diminished the pad’s adherence, according to the recall notice. Despite the pedal becoming stuck, the truck’s brakes will remain operational, although this is clearly not an optimal solution.
The recall affects “all Model Year (‘MY’) 2024 Cybertruck vehicles produced between November 13, 2023, and April 4, 2024,” and it is believed to affect 100 percent of the 3,878 vehicles, essentially covering every Cybertruck that has been delivered to customers since its debut last year.
The likelihood of a recall became apparent after some Cybertruck customers were informed earlier in the week that their deliveries were postponed, with at least one owner learning from their dealership about the recall due to the accelerator pedal issue. Additionally, another owner demonstrated on TikTok how the defect caused the accelerator to be pressed down fully, maintaining full throttle.
